Roman copper alloy key finger ring, Thickness: 2 mm, diameter: 22 mm, weight: 9.64 grams.
The ring consists of a rectangular cross sectioned loop which houses a rectangular bezel, 19 x 19 mm, attached to the loop by a short circular sectioned shaft. The bezel which curves to match the loops profile, has two small rectangular cut outs forming a U-shaped plate.
The ring matches Guiraud type 5 (specifically type 5a), similar to e.g. 2169 in Crummy, N. Colchester excavation report 2, 1983.
