Copper alloy thimble. A small pressed metal conical thimble. There is a foot ring with a plain zone occupying about half the wall above it, filled with a stepped 'Greek key' motif against a finely vertically lined ground. The upper wall is occupied by round closdely-spaced machine stamped pits which appear to rise in diagonal rows from right to left. The top is flat, and occupied by concentric pits which are smaller than those on the wall. Squashed. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1800-1900.
