Copper alloy and iron button. Uniform button of the Grand Central Railway (1897-1923). A plain gently concavo-convex front bears capital letters with lightly billeted surfaces in strong relief: GCR. A drawn wire copper alloy loop passes into a separate flat back plate and retains a thicker twisted iron wire. Suggested date: Modern, 1897-1923.
