A complete flint Scraper of Mesolithic date (AD 9000-3450). The lithic is sub-ovate in plan and plano-convex in section. The dorsal surface contains six predominant negative scars with corresponding arrises and. The proximal and distal ends taper to a light point and have short scaled flaking. Both the left and right hand edges have rough semi-abrupt retouch. The ventral surface is flat and has a small bulb of percussion situated at the proximal end which has a shallow negative scar situated over it. The lithic retains no cortex and is therefore a tertiary flake.
The flint is cream in colour with grey inclusions throughout.
