Two copper alloy double looped buckles of post-medieval date. Each buckle is trapezoidal in plan and the frame is drilled for a separate spindle. The corroded iron spindle remains fused to one buckle while the spindle is missing on the second buckle. Each pin is missing.
The buckle without a spindle is decorated with seven grooves at each end of the frame and two grooves on each side either side of the hole for the spindle. The rear is undecorated.
Dimensions: 22mm in length, 15mm in width, 3mm thick, 1.8g
The buckle with the remaining fused iron spindle is worn and damaged and the decoration is no longer visible. One end of the frame appears to be notched for the pin. The rear of the buckle is undecorated.
Dimensions: 22mm in length, 15mm in width, 3mm thick, 1.5g
