Early medieval copper alloy girdle hanger fragment, Length: 22 mm, width: 17 mm, thickness: 1 mm, weight: 4.52 grams.
The object consists of part of the lower portion of a girdle hanger. It is U shaped in form and rectangular in cross section. The upright portion (left in photo) is the lower part of the central shaft with the right side of the base and most of the right (as shown) projection. The object is worn and is decorated on one face with two lines of decoration, forming a border, consisting of a row of incised dashes next to a row of sub circuar stamps.
