Unique ID: WILT-9EDE75

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

A fragment of a Roman Oxfordshire colour coated ware vessel, dating to the period AD 260-402. The sherd is broadly triangular in shape, measuring 16.72mm in length, 22.03mm in width, which tapers down to 6.97mm, and the thickness is 2.47mm. It is possible that the sherd has a partial rim along the top, however it is unclear. The sherd has a soft fabric, and is a pale orange in colour, though there are traces of the grey clay coming through where the slip has worn. There are no visible inclusions. No discernible decoration can be seen on either side of the sherd. In total, the sherd weighs 0.83g.
