Incomplete post medieval copper alloy mount dating to the period c. AD 1600 - 1700. It has an oval body with a trifoliate teminal at one end and an old break at the other. It would probably have originally been symmetrical. The front exhibits traces of an engraved foliate design. The reverse exhibits the stubs of two integrally cast pointed attachment rivets.
A similar example is discussed in Read, B, 2016, p. 33, no. 294.
