A copper alloy fragment from a Cruciform Brooch of Early-Medieval date (AD 450-650). The fragment is the foot which is lunate or pelta-shaped and from a small cruciform brooch. The foot is plain and the upper narrowed portion retains some iron corrosion adhearing to the surface, the rest of the brooch is lost.
The metal is a dark green in colour with a predominantly smooth patina.
