Two probably medieval or early post-medieval chalk weights, both with a median perforation, probably for ½ pound troy, 13th - 16th century:
- globular with flattened poles, surface pitted and in places with a thin skin lost, diameter 56mm, height 47mm, hole diameter 18 - 25mm, weight 183.20g / 2827.0 grains / 5.8895oz
- cylindrical with convex sides, length 52mm, diameter 500mm, hole diameter 19 - 20mm (narrowing unevenly towards the centre, drilled form both ends), weight 186.72g / 2881.4 grains / 6.0045oz.
½-pound troy (6oz) = 2880 grains
