Late Medieval copper alloy strap end fragment, Length: 29 mm, width: 13 mm, weight: 5.17 grams.
The fragment is a partial sheet from a two part strap end. It is crescentric in form and has a raised border. Its lower rounded egde is damaged and would have had a triangular projection attached. Its centre contains two rivets which would have held the second plate. A complete example of this strap end can be seen here SF-FDE95A
