A flint single-platform core of Mesolithic or Neolithic date (10,000 - 2100 BC) with blade flakes removed part of the way round (type A2). The core is conical in shape and roughly lozenge-shaped in cross-section with a flat underside. There are five or six flake scars visible. The flint is grey/ orange in colour with two distinct areas of working; the rest of the nodule, including the tip, is covered with an orangey-brown cortex. It measures 51.9mm in length, 44.7mm in max.width, 38.3mm in max.thickness and weighs 94.13g.
