A Post Medieval lead-alloy button, dating late 16th-17th century. The button is convex with flat back and decorated with worn moulding and a central pellet. Four moulded lines radiate out from the central pellet to the button's edge. Between each moulded line the button is decorated with worn cross-hatching. The button has an integral looped shank now slightly bent and pierced for attachment. A casting seam is visible on the back of the button. The object has a mid-grey patina.
