Incomplete sheet copper alloy outer plate from a medieval elongated tongue-shaped strap end with the outside edge missing. There are two pairs of rounded lateral cut-outs, with the second truncated by the break. A single rivet hole lies near the attachment edge. The complete object was probably composite with a full-width spacer, but may have consisted of only two plates. Extant length 43.5mm. Width 9.5mm. 14th century.
