An incomplete, worn and possibly clipped post-Medieval silver probable threepence of Elizabeth I (1558-1603), minted at London. Initial marks: [acorn]/acorn (probably), dated 1573 on coin (North 1991: 135, ref: 1998).

Obverse: [ELIZABETH D G ANG FR ET HI REGINA], Crowned bust left with a rose behind the head.

Reverse: POSV[I/DEV.AD]/IVTOR[E/M MEV] (I have made God my Helper), Square shield on long cross fourchée dividing the inscription with date of 1573 above shield.

Diameter: 17.0mm. Weight: 0.91g. DA=12:5.
