Coaseware pottery sherd water worn probably dating from the post-medieval period 1500-1800AD. The sherd is red oxidised with traces of what appears to be a black or puple glaze presenting the possibility that it is either Cistercian ware or Midlands purple. The length is 225mm, the width is 95mm and the weight is too heavy for scales.
