A medieval cast copper-alloy double loop sub-rectangular buckle dating to period c. AD 1400-1500. The buckle comprises double loops which are rectangular shaped in plan, with a bar between them. The frame is curved. The axis bar has a semi-circular terminal at either end, on the outside edge of the frame.
The frame measures in length 24.07mm and 20.70mm in width. The thickness of frame measures 1.82mm and weighs is 3.11g.
A similar buckle is illustrated by Whitehead 2003, no 475, p.77.
