A Post Medieval silver sixpence of Elizabeth I (AD 1558 - 1603). Second coinage, initial mark: Martlet. The coin is dated AD 1561. Minted in London (tower). North (1991 Vol 2) no.1997. The coin has been bent in to an 'S' form which could suggest it was reused as a love token. p
