An early Anglo-Saxon copper alloy annular brooch, dating to the late fifth or sixth century. The brooch is complete apart from the pin.
The frame is flat, circular, and decorated on the front with a band of punched circles. The frame has a restriction for the pin. To either side of this restriction the frame is decorated with a pair of incised transverse lines. Iron corrosion is visible around the restriction.
This item derives from a plough-damaged cemetery.
