An early Anglo-Saxon copper alloy annular brooch, dating to the late fifth or sixth century.
The frame is wide, flat, and circular, and rises very gently towards the centre. Both the interior and exterior perimeter of the upper face of the frame are decorated with a band of punched dots. The frame is recessed to take a pin. The corroded loop of an iron pin survives in this recess. The shank is missing, but the corroded tip of the pin survives on the opposite side of the frame. This item derives from a plough-damaged cemetery.
