A Post-Medieval composite lead alloy button with embedded iron wire shank, probably dating to c. AD 1600-1750. The button is discoidal, with a shallow convex front and flat reverse, with much of the original edge now abraded away. The front is decorated with a simple rose motif moulded in relief. A casting seem survives on the reverse, with the vestigial remains of a seperate iron shank embedded into the surface in line with this seam.
