Cast copper-alloy single-looped trapezoidal buckle with wire pin and sheet copper alloy plate. The frame is 12.5 mm in length and 12 mm wide tapering to 10 mm at the narrowed and recessed strap bar. The frame is 2 mm thick and the strap bar is 1 mm thick. The pin is complete, 13 mm long, including the fixing loop and 0.5 mm thick and is held in position by a notch at the centre of the end of the plate. The plate is 19 mm long, 7 mm wide and 0.5 mm thick. The plate is mounted onto the buckle by having been bent around the strap bar and pierced by a hole to secure it by the pin. Part of a rivet hole is visible at the opposite broken and of the plate, but the rivet is now missing.

Whitehead (1996) illustrates a similar trapezoidal buckle and plate on page 26, no.130 which is dated from c.1300-1500.
