Incomplete and very worn medieval copper alloy harness pendant, the upper part, almost certainly circular and probably domed, with a central hole and radial engraved grooves, of which one is certainly visible and retains a trace of gilding. Very similar examples from Norfolk include two from Grimston, both with six radial grooves (HER 3579 and 11798) and an incomplete one from Emneth (HER 31007). One from Fransham lacks a central hole (Ashley 2002, fig. 5 no. 4). Extant width 23mm. Extant height 33mm (of which the suspension loop and its shank account for 20mm). Second half 12th - 13th century.
