Fragment of grog tempered, wheel thrown pottery. This rim fragment is dark brown in colour with patches of black to either side. It is just possible to see on the break edges evidence of black and red grog temper (i.e. crushed up pottery used to temper the clay). This type of pottery was in use from the Late Iron Age into the Roman period c.50BC-AD75. The fragment weighs 16.74g.
