Grey flint with recortified spot, probable plano-convex knife. A broad thin oval-ended flake with two broad flakes struck from its dorsal side and a positive hinged fracture on the ventral. This was followed by the hard-hammer removal of further flakes from the ventral surface. Invasive angled scalar retouch executed from the ventral aspect follows one end, and probably trimmed the opposite end to facilitate grip. Indentations at one end and the appearance of retouch executed from the dorsal aspect are both probably the result of fortuitous edge-on impacts rather than working. Suggested date: Late Neolithic, 2700-2350 BC.
