A pottery rim sherd of moulded slip ware from the Post Medieval period, specifically c. AD 1701-1800. The fragment is very slightly curved and is orange in colour with a medium density of dark coloured inclusions, its fabric being hard earthenware. The edge of the rim has a notched, 'pie-crust' looking decoration which was common on 18th Century plates. The thin slip decoration is a yellow colour with dark brown coloured lines and circles along it.
It weighs 23.4g, and is c. 47mm in length at the longest point, c. 56mm in width and c. 5mm thick.
