Copper alloy and iron bell. Cast one piece spherical bell with a pair of opposed blowholes in its upper hemisphere and with a pair of oval sounding holes linked by a slot in the lower. A thickened circumferential rib passes around the bell, leaving the lower part of its body the larger. A tall rectangular suspension loop with a triangular aperture is set on top of the bell. The sounding slot is flanked by worn incised lines which may be a relict of a more extensive scheme of marking. A corroded iron clapper is retained within the bell. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1600-1700.
