Incomplete medieval copper alloy casket key in rather worn condition. About half of the circular bow is missing. The hollow end of the oval-sectioned shank is missing but the bit is complete, with two asymmetrical clefts and side channels. There is no collar or shoulder. Extant length 29mm. Width of bow c.12mm. Bit 8 x 8 x 3mm. 14th century.
