A cast copper alloy 'D' shaped undecorated medieval buckle and plate c. 1200-1400 AD. The pin is missing and the plate has two rivet holes with a single intact rivet. There is a possible lozenge or zoomorphic decoration to the front face of the buckle plate, which has a mottled and eroded brown/green patina. Similar decorated buckle plates and single loop buckles with narrowed strap bars date to the later medieval period.
