An in complete cast copper-alloy post-medieval double-loop trapezoidal buckle c.1620-1680 (Whitehead 1996, 82).
Description:
The buckle survives as one loop of a trapezoidal frame with lobed protrusions at either end of the pin bar. The remaining outer edge is pointed. The outside edge of the buckle is bevelled while the lower surface is flat, giving the bars of the frame a D-shape in cross-section. The buckle's pin is missing. The buckle is mottled dark and light green.
Measurements: 22.72mm long, 20.28mm wide, 1.84mm and 2.3g in weight.
