Copper alloy thimble. A miniature pressed metal conical thimble, from its size for a child. A foot ring and a narrow plain basal zone with fine round machine-stamped pits above it in a pattern which appears as if ascending the wall in sequential circumferential rows which appear to ascend from left to right. The top is occupied by a grid or lattice opf larger indentations. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1850-1900.
