A worn and clipped post-Medieval silver shilling of Charles I (1625-1649), minted at the Tower of London. Group F, initial marks: [P-in-brackets]/P-in-brackets, 1643-1644 (North 1991, 160, ref: 2232).

Obverse: CAROLVS [D G] MAG BRI FR [ET HIB REX], Crowned bust left with XII (mark of value) behind the head.

Reverse: ·CHRISTO [AVS]PIC[E RE]GNO, Square Royal shield.
