Slightly squashed post-medieval copper alloy thimble with a single encircling line within a plain band above the base. The rest of the sides and the low conical top are covered with a continuous spiral of rectangular indentations. A sub-square maker's mark, possibly a bird, is stamped before the start of the spiral. Diameter c.18mm. Height c.19mm. Probably a Nuremberg product. c.1520 - c.1620.
