A cast lead alloy weight of uncertain date (Roman to post-medieval, AD 43 - 1800). It is cylindrical in form. One surface is slightly concave, the other slightly convex. The concave surface has an irregularly shaped indentation near the centre, possibly a casting flaw but possibly the remains of a suspension loop for use on a steelyard. The other surface has a pattern of cross-hatched lines. The sides have grooves and dents, probably from plough damage.
The object is 13 mm thick, 29 mm in diameter and weighs 82 g
