A complete copper alloy medieval strap loop. The object has a D-shaped frame with an integral rivet extending from one side. The frame has a rounded exterior surface and flattened interior surface.
Egan and Pritchard (1991, 26, fig.13) date oval strap loops, to which this example is presumably related, to c.1270-1400 based on exacavated material from London.
