A Late Medieval copper alloy coin weight for the gold ryal (or Rose Noble) of Edward IV (AD 1464-1471). The coin weight is sub-circular in plan. The obverse has the image of a ship (galleon) in sail with the King in the ship and a rose in the centre of the hull. The reverse of the coin weight is undecorated. The object has a mid-green coloured patina on both faces.
