A Medieval silver penny of Edward III

Obverse: "[...] REX (DOUBLE SALTIRE) [...] E (DOUBLE SALTIRE)" The legend has been double struck, the "REX" has a clear double image.

Reverse: "+ CIVI [TAS] EBOR A[CI]" Short cross separating four quadrants, each with a trefoil inside centre.

Initial mark is a Cross 3, made in either Calais, London or York during 1356 - 1361.
