A medieval silver penny of Edward III probably dating to AD 1363-1369 (Fourth Coinage Treaty Series). The coin is worn. Obverse depicts a crowned bust facing with shoulders. Reverse depicts a long cross with three pellets in each quarter and a crozier before CIVITAS. Mint of Durham. Probably North 1272/2 (North, JJ, 1991, English Hammered Coinage Volume 2, Spink & Son, London, p 57 no 1272/2).
