Post-medieval copper alloy hooked book clasp in rather worn condition, with two notches in the fishtail terminal, a double concentric punched ring around an iron river near the terminal, slight lateral projections before the hook and faint faint traces of decoration, including one transverse line or groove. Length 38.5mm. Width 13.5 - 6.6mm. 16th century.
