A section of corroded copper alloy blade of probable Middle Bronze Age 1500-1150BC.
The surviving fragment is rectangular in form, pointed oval in section with distortion along the length. It is 94.94mm in length, 19.49mm in width and 6.01mm thick. It weighs 41.4g. There is a pronounced central spinal ridge. The blade is bent upwards with an old break at one end and thickening at the opposite, possibly hilt, end. The edges are very worn and pitted with irregular notches and the whole has light green patination.
