Large handle fragment of a medieval jug dating from the 13th/14th century AD. The fragment comes from a large greenish/yellow-glazed cream coloured earthenware jug. The fabric appears to be rosy/cream-coloured clay that was tempered with smaller gritty and quartzite inclusions. The inside is reddish brown and appears to be oxidised. A few flecks of green and yellow glaze remain on top of the handle. The length is 60mm, the width is 35mm thickness 22mm and the weight 28.09g.
