Probably an early Medieval sleeve clasp of Hines Form B20. Cast copper alloy with staining from gilding on its face, on underside of the clasp is the remains of the hook which appears to be a broken tab possibly bent rather than an eye fixing or hoop. There does not appear to be any circular attachment projections but there does appear to be two broken attachment holes. Along the length of the clasp runs a vertical groove and at either side of the tab are incised vertical lines. The length is 30mm, the width is 12mm and the weight 3.94g.
