Incomplete copper alloy finger ring. Approximately half of this ring survives. The bezel is oval and is 8.86mm long, 7.02mm wide and 3.44mm thick. The setting is very degraded, but it is possible to see the minute remains of blue, red and white enamel. Otherwise the bezel is full of corrosion product. The shoulders of the ring extend directly from either side of the bezel. They are decorated with an integrally moulded, raised line. The hoop then extends beyond with a semicircular section, tapering towards the back of the hoop, which is now missing. The shoulders are 4mm wide at the point of the raised line and the hoop is 3.4mm wide, tapering to 2mm at the point of the breaks. It is 2.24mm at the thickest point. The ring has a surviving diameter of 21.9mm, though it is slightly bent, and weighs 1.51g. The ring has a dark green patina with patches of bright green corrosion, noticeably to the reverse. Break edges are worn, suggesting damage occurred in antiquity. It is probably Roman in date.
