A medieval copper alloy English Jetton. Dates from the reign of Edward I (AD 1272 - 1307). Lion type depicting two lions passant on obverse and a single strand cross fleury with pellets in angles on reverse dating to between AD 1280 - 1302. The number of pellets on the reverse is unclear due to wear. Minted at London. Mitchiner (1988) page 109, No's 183-184. The jetton has been clipped round the edges.
The jetton is 14.89mm in diameter, 1.13mm thick and weighs 0.7g.
