A complete copper-alloy thimble (AD1550-1600). The thimble is tall with a rounded top. The indentations in the thimble appear to be circular. The indentations have been arranged in To parallel horizontal lines. This thimble has been cast as one piece. Around the base there is no rim. It is worn and the metal has lost much of its original surface. The metal is a dark reddish-brown colour. Parallels can be seen in Egan (2005), p. 132, fig. 630.
