A complete copper alloy strap fitting of post-medieval date. The strap fitting has a bulbous centre with waisted trefoil (fleur-de-lys) terminals at either end. No trace of gilding survives on the upper surface of the fitting. The reverse retains two integrally cast attachment spikes, which would have secured the fitting to a leather strap. This type of strap fitting dates from c. AD 1500-1700.
