Medieval (12th-13th century) copper alloy mount, comprising a cast stylised animal head with projecting lobes for ears, oblique incised cross-hatching on the forehead, slightly oblique engraved lines above the prominent brows, an upturned snout and a groove forming an open mouth. It is hollow on the reverse. There is a central perforation containing the corroded remains of an iron rivet. The surface has a matte grey coloured surface.

The mount measures 18.16mm long, 13.45mm wide, 6.11mm thick and weighs 4.37g.
