Copper alloy pin fragment. Cast pin with biconvex head with a flattened medial band above a collar which separates it from a shank of - insofar as it survives - of unvaried round section [of diameter 2.1mm]; Flixborough type 331. This was probably used as a hairpin or veil fastener. Suggested date: Early Medieval, 800-850.
