Incomplete Roman copper alloy lock bolt from a tumbler lock, one trapezoidal end with part of the openwork field set in the same plane. Two triangular apertures and most of a third are present. Cf. Crummy 1983, no. 4136. Extant length and width 36.3 and 16.5mm. Thickness 5.7mm. Mid 1st - 4th century.
