The sherd is a portion of the base of a vessel. The fabric is relatively soft and is a light grey in colour throughout. Within the fabric there are frequent medium sized inclusions which are a dark grey/black colour. These inclusions are also quite soft.

The sherd is slightly abraded, and weighs 39g. It possibly dates to teh Roman period.
